" Diar " ( دْيَار ) music is the Arabic rich heritage that we aim to revive and we are full of hope to keep this beautiful and nice folkloric music alive. " Diar " ( دْيَار ) in Canada will be the bridge between our memories in Syria and our new home Canada.

DIAR was established by two Syrian artists and musicians who relocated to Toronto, Canada in early 2018. The name "DIAR" was thoughtfully chosen as it holds deep cultural significance. In traditional Syrian-Damascene terms, "DIAR" refers to the open space or courtyard within historic Syrian homes. This name encapsulates a journey into our past, evoking memories of childhood, friendships, family, love, joy, sorrow, and the roots that shape us.
 

DIAR's music serves as a vessel for the rich heritage of the Arab world that we are dedicated to reviving. Our goal is to preserve its uniqueness and showcase its inherent beauty.
